Standard Features of Airtightclamps

Maximum use of sliding table.
Both clamps take up a total of 8”- 4” behind fence and 4" on mobile base. Built of Kaiser aluminum 6061-T6511 aluminum is a type of 6061 aluminum. It is furnished in the T6511 temper. To achieve this temper, the metal is solution heat-treated, stress relieved, then artificially aged. The stress relief is accomplished by stretching the metal by an amount that depends on the type of standard wrought product being made (extrusion or tube). The metal is straightened after the stretching operation
  •  than and tight fit to both bases
  • Total clamping height 7”
  • Total clamping reach 10”
  • Total reach of stroke between part thickness 3”
  • 2” standard break away clamping pad with possible interchangeable feet diameters
  • of feet 1.4” and 3” diameter with elastomer 95 durometer none marring pad.
  • 15 degree tilt to pad standard for un even surfaces
  • 8 degree tilt toward fence with both clamps so material is always being bushed toward fence.
  • 90 degree clamping possible.
  • Horizontal 30 mm 303 Stainless Steel shafts are grooved to receive deadent locating ball to maintain 90 degree vertical clamping position right to left.
  • On Off valves right at clamp for instant clamping
  • No pinch zone,, clamping shaft is 1.25” longer at retraction of pad
  • Vertical shafts are ground to 30 mm 303 Stainless Steel
  • Shafts are radius for comfort.
  • The bases are machined on all surfaces square all edges are radius, bases are polished and than type 2 anodized.
  • A tongue is milled into the base to receive the grove in the slider. The bottom is than fitted with a slippery bearing material.
  • Both bases are fitted with a thrust bearing leavers, this is done so it takes the least amount of energy to clamp and un-clamp the bases to move.
  • Large adjustable levers are used to clamp the t blocks.
  • The t blocks are machined on 16 surfaces with t milled into the 303 Stainless Steel than polished
  • The cylinders can rotate at 8 degrees in full 360 and the controls can be positioned to accommodate the operator .This gives the add ability to press down and toward the fences if desired.
  • Both bases are extremely ridged no mater were the arms are positioned.
  • The cylinder shaft has a bearing in the body and i add a second on in the clamps right angle connector so there is a 3” span of bearing surface to make a very rigid shaft for clamping
  • The mobile base has a safety valve so if air is lost the part stays clamped in the mobile base only.
  • Both cylinders have a flow control to adjust the return of the pad.
  • All fittings are brass and electrolytes nickel plated
  • All air connection s are quick disconnect and valved so when you unplug at handle end no air is lost.
  • I designed all aspects of the system based on 25 years use of sliding table saw and shapers and 40 years in the field as a master crafts person and designer and inventor.
  • and build each set up myself. I take no short steps
  • Hose management is very carefully designed to be hassle free no screwing around with hose.
  • The clamps are very intuitive and easy to use taking micro seconds to operate.
